Dr. Carmela R. Abraham is Chief Scientific Officer of ADvantage Therapeutics and Klothea Bio, and former Professor of Biochemistry and Pharmacology at Boston University School of Medicine, where she led groundbreaking research on brain aging and Alzheimer’s disease (AD) for over three decades. A Harvard-trained neuroscientist, she co-founded Klogenix Therapeutics and has pioneered translational strategies to elevate the neuroprotective protein Klotho to promote brain resilience, treat AD and demyelinating diseases like MS, and extend healthspan and lifespan. Dr. Abraham’s discoveries have earned her prestigious awards from the Alzheimer’s Association and support from NIH and major research foundations.
