Dr. Assumpció Bosch is a Full Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) with over 25 years of experience in preclinical gene therapy and rare neurological diseases. Her research focuses on MPS VII, MLC, ALS, and Wolfram Syndrome, using murine models, iPSCs, and viral vectors to explore disease mechanisms and therapeutic strategies. Following postdoctoral training at the University of Iowa and Pasteur Institute, Dr. Bosch joined UAB through the Ramon y Cajal program. She currently serves as Department Chair and has led UAB’s graduate programs in biochemistry and molecular biology.
