Dr. Miguel Chillon is an ICREA Research Professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and Coordinator of the Advanced Therapy Program at Vall d’Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR). With postdoctoral training at the University of Iowa and Genethon III, his research focuses on gene therapy for neurological and age-related diseases. He has authored over 85 publications, holds 14 patents, and co-founded two biotech spin-offs. Dr. Chillon directs UAB’s Vector Production Unit and develops innovative viral vectors and chronokine-based strategies to treat cognitive decline, neuromuscular disorders, and neurodegeneration with reduced immunogenicity and enhanced precision.
